“Slow Bloom” Album CoverNovember 2024

With its catchy tunes, powerful vocals, and incredible layering of sounds, The Home Team’s album Slow Bloom was born from the band’s struggles in the music industry and their decision to “just make the music [they] wanna make and not care what people think of it.” I interpret the name Slow Bloom as an act of resilience: learning to grow from failure, taking your time to grow into your strengths to become something true to yourself, even if it doesn't conform to society's expectations.

I aim to capture the album’s energetic, moody sound through striking colors and the visuals of blooming flowers—the unusual yet beautiful chrysanthemum—breaking through boundaries and taking up space. Collateral deliverables include a set of drink coasters in reference to one of the songs’ lines (”Take a seat, have a drink, get comfortable”), a floral patterned collared shirt in reference to a similar style worn by the band members, and an enamel pin that offers unique flair.
